Cleanliness first

One of the most useful beauty tips for every woman, whether she wears makeup or not, is to start each day on a clean palette. Use a gentle cleanser every morning for your skin type, ending with a little cold water. It will do wonders to revive your skin. The cold water causes a tightening of the pores and leaves you with a feeling of freshness.

The most important thing to do is to remove your make-up every night before going to bed, even if you’re home late or have fallen asleep in front of the television. Your skin needs to breathe, and the makeup that stays there during the night may suffocate it. Over time, this will result in clogged and stretched pores, which may lead to inflammation. And even degenerate into imperfections on the surface of the skin- yuck!

While you’re there, take the opportunity to apply some water and soap on your makeup brushes. Brushes are a great place for germs and bacteria to grow. If you use it daily, the powder and other cosmetic products will accumulate there too. Clean them with a mild facial cleanser or baby shampoo with warm water in the evening (make sure you rinse them well), and they should be dry the next morning!

Protect your skin against damage

UVA and UVB, the harmful rays of the sun, are not limited to the hot summer months. The sun poses a risk throughout the year. This can cause fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and even skin cancer.

Protect yourself from UV rays by wearing a daily moisturizer with sunscreen or by applying a layer of sunscreen before your moisturizer. If you spend a lot of time outdoors during the day, be sure not to forget the back of your neck, chest, hands as well as any exposed skin.

Your eyes also need to be protected, so wear sunglasses. Like squinting under the sun also increases the chances of wrinkles and fine lines, consider sunglasses as another line of defense against aging.

Exfoliate regularly

As we age, the excretion of dead skin cells by our body slows down, resulting in dull or uneven skin. Keeps skin looking fresh by using a gentle exfoliator to remove dead skin once or twice a week.
